Jimbei

My Jimbei costume! This was made with an antique orange kimono and an antique kimono overcoat, both from Japan(you could smell the age of them )

The original kimono was too small, so with the help of a friend, we cut the sleeves off the kimono, split it down the sides, used the straightened sleeves to add material to the bottom, then sewed the entire thing to the inside of the overcoat. This made it one whole piece. Then some small adjustments led to the finished product.

Just took acrylic paint(cause I didnt have fabric paint and wanted to save money) to paint the lapels black and the black/white boxes.

This was a Gene Simmon's Kiss wig that my friend help straightened and shape(thanks Sean). White acrylic paint later led to the stripes.

The Eyebrows, Sideburns and teeth are all painted and shaped Styrofoam(pain to cut without the right tools.)

Torquise, black, yellow facepaint.
